PRODUCTS

The Eagle OTR Debeader has been built, proven and engineered to complete this specific task of pulling the Bead bundles from OTR tires and is the only machine in the world capable of pulling the bead bundles from all sizes of radial OTR tires. The tires are lifted onto the machine and are complete contained for safety and left unsaid, the production time is second to none! Through the development of this machine we have pulled tire sizes from 20.5/25’s all of the way up to and including the 59.80R63’s. We have pulled the bead bundles from the 20.5/25’s up to the 33.00R51’s both beads at the same time. When processing the larger tires (57’s and 63’s) we pull one bead bundle at a time, the first and then the second.

The large Tire Bead Removal machine is used to simultaneously remove both steel bead bundles from large diameter tires OTR Mining Tires. This machine removes the steel bead bundles from both sidewalls of the OTR tire sizes of 29 inch rim opening, up to and including a tire with a 63 inch rim opening. The production rate per hour (example 40.00/57’s) will process four OTR Mining tires per hour. This machine is Automated and programmable so once the tire is loaded the start button is pushed, the machine removes the bead bundles automatically until the steel bead bundles are completely removed from the tires.
This machine is of great benefit, removing the steel bead bundles from the Giant OTR tires first, will speed up production and make money when processing these tires as you have eliminated the toughest part of these tires. Imagine the downstream shredding after eliminating these steel beads. Value added rubber products made from OTR Mining tires will have a greater profit margin.

The Eagle Punch Cutter is designed to split OTR tires into two halves, cutting through the center of the tread. The Punch Cutter can handle a range of tire sizes, from a rim size of 39 inches and a tread width of 37 inches up to and including a 13 foot diameter OTR tire. In addition to manual use, the Eagle Punch Cutter can now be programmed to operate automatically and split an OTR tire without an operator. The Eagle Punch Cutter is loaded against an OTR tire with a tele- handler. The machine cuts 5 inch sections at a time (7 inch blade) as it moves around the tire to cut it into the two halves; once these 12 and 13 foot tires have been cut into two halves, the Titan II can cut them into smaller sections. On a 12 or 13 foot tire the punch cutter can split a tire in approximately 20 minutes.

On a 12 or 13 foot tire the punch cutter can split a tire in approximately 10-12 minutes.

The Eagle product line began as a series of powered tire cutters. In 1991, Les Pederson started Eagle International with its first product, the Eagle Tuf-Cut. Over the years and due to the different applications and needs within the tire recycling industry, Eagle International expanded its tire cutting line to handle any tire on the market. We produce six different sizes of tire cutters ranging from the TC Gator, for car and light truck tires, up to the all-mighty Titan II which handles OTR and Mining tires.

TC Gator

The New Eagle TC GATOR cuts the tire clean (like a paper cutter) and does not leave an additional chunk of rubber to remove after cutting each tire. Eagle designed this smaller shop tire cutter to meet the needs of Tire shops, Auto Salvage Yards, and Tire Processors who generate smaller amounts of tires. It is also very economically priced. Other machines on the market will cut a chunk out of each tire that requires extra time and extra material that needs to be cleaned up. This machine has the same patented design as all of our bigger tire cutters and the TC Gator is capable of cutting Passenger Car tires up to and including 18.5 Light truck tires.

Tru-Cut

The “no frills” answer to cutting car and truck tires, the Eagle Tru-Cut is the best value in our tire cutter series. This patented unit is designed to cut car, truck and rear tractor tires. Range is up to 11 x 24.5 x 12 ply truck tires. The Tru-Cut gives you economy and still allows you to still cut two tires in one cut. Units are available as stationary or portable, gas, diesel or electric. The cutting time for this unit is estimated at 2,000 lbs. of quartered tires per hour.

Tuf-Cut

The patented Eagle Tuf-Cut adds flexibility to your total tire cutting system by providing you the ability to accept tires up to 23.5/25, 12 ply into your system. The Tuf-Cut also allows your system to cut two or three tires at a time, yielding 50 – 60 truck tires per hour or approximately 1 ton per hour. The Tuf-Cut comes standard with a tire lift and extension rollers to handle larger tires and is available as a portable or stationary unit; it can be powered by electric, diesel or gasoline.

Tuf-Cut II

Eagle International, the tire recycling equipment industry leader you have known for years, has come up with yet another piece of tire recycling equipment. The Eagle Tuf-Cut II is perfect for rock quarries, tire derived fuel producers, cement kilns, large tire shredding operations & tire processors. The Tuf-Cut II was designed to cut serveral car tires at a time, up to and including an off-road 29.5 x 35-34 ply bias and radial tires (tire weight up to 2,000 lbs and 30 inches across the tire tread), has a cycle time of 18 seconds and a weight of 9,850 lbs. Our patented designed tire cutter is the only in the world that will cut these tires as effectively.

Titan

The patented Eagle Titan unit enables you to increase the flexibility of your total cutting system by adding tires up to 38″ wide and 8′ diameter scraper tires. We have also cut 27.00/39 mining tires with this unit. The Titan is standard with power roller beds along with easy access controls. The Eagle Titan is a diesel powered, portable unit, but can also be furnished as an electrical unit. We consider this unit our “work horse” unit and is second only to the Titan II.

Titan II

The patented Titan II is our ultimate tire cutter and the largest tire cutter within the Waste OTR Tire Recycling Market. The Titan II has the ability to handle and cut large OTR Mining tires up to 40″ across the tread and up to 12 feet in diameter. When processing the tires greater than 40′ across the tread the Eagle Punch Cutter is utilized to split the tires through the center of the tread allowing for you to downsize these tires with ease. The horse power of the diesel engine, the special design location of the cylinder mount and the blade design allows equal cutting pressure throughout the total cutting cycle. The Titan II is complete with powered extension rollers, extended bed and integral trailer, heated and air conditioned operator cab, a light tree package (red, yellow and green) and emergency stops, a probe are (assists with tire position) and a hydraulic tire rotator.

Eagle Car and Truck Tire De-Rimmers are designed to separate waste rims from waste tires. Ease of operation and operator safety is the key to the popularity of these units. Car Tire Derimmer

Tire Car Rimmers The Eagle Car Tire Derimmer is designed to separate waste rims from waste tires. The ease of operation is the key to the popularity of this unit. All that is required of the operator is to roll the tire and wheel into the Derimmer. The tire is then clamped and held by the first cylinder while the second cylinder removes the rim. The operator then rolls the tire out of the unit and rolls the next tire and wheel into position. The cycle time is estimated at seven (7) seconds. There is no manual lifting with this unit. Simple hand controls enhance the cycle time. The estimated times for this unit are 160-200 rims per hour which equates to 1280 rims in one 8 hr. shift. Stationary and portable models are available with a choice of gas, electric and diesel power.

Truck Tire De-rimmer

Truck Tire DeRimmer Due to the interest of many recyclers, we designed this machine to seperate the rim from the tire of any semi-truck tire. It will also do larger tires. The Truck Tire De-rimmer is available as portable or stationary, and is powered either by an Electric 15 HP motor, a 23 HP Diesel motor or a 20 HP Gas motor. This machine has an operational cycle time of 20 seconds, which makes this the fastest machine on the market today. More production means you earn more money! Our machine comes complete and is ready to operate. It is highway rated and the set up time at the job site is less than three minutes. Another great feature of the Eagle Truck Tire De-rimmer is that it was designed so that you do not have to pick the tire up to load it into the machine; you simply roll the tire into the machine.

Tire DeBeadersThe Eagle Tire DeBeader pulls both beads at the same time from car and truck tires (car tire die plates optional). The Eagle Debeader will pull the steel bead out of tires up to and including super-single truck tires. Operation of the unit makes it a natural for shredding operations. Removal of the bead wire prior to shredding allows for a cleaner end product and provides less wear on the moving parts of the shredder. This unit provides a more effective shredding operation, but also cuts down on expensive maintenance on a shredder. Steel bead wire can also be recycled. Units available are stationary or portable with either electric or diesel engines.

Sidewall CuttersThe Eagle Sidewall Cutter is designed to cut truck and car tires. The Sidewall Cutter is available as portable or stationary and supplied with a 13HP gas engine, 14HP Kubota diesel engine or a 10HP electric engine. Estimated cycle time for this unit is 11 seconds per truck tire and 7 seconds per car tire per side. As an option the tread cutting attachment is available on the Eagle Sidewall Cutter.


Super SlicerThe multi-purpose Eagle Super Slicer unit enables you to remove the sidewalls or the steel beads from truck tires, light truck tires and car tires. The cycle time is twelve seconds on truck tires (up to 44″ outside diameter) production rate of 50-60 per hour, and eight seconds on car tires (13″ to 16″ outside diameter) production rate of 70-90 per hour. The Eagle Super Slicer offers several important features that are of significant value to the safety and efficient operation of the machine. The protective shroud protects the operator. In addition, the viewing ports permit a safe view of the cutting process. A Hydraulic Bead Adjustment allows mechanical positioning of the tire for optimal cutting and debeading procedures. A h ardened Alloy, Serrated Cutter Blade maximized cutting effectiveness. The Tread Cutter Attachment (optional) is designed to cut across the face of the tread. Also available with Eagle Sidewall Cutter.

BalerThe Eagle Tire Baler was designed to: eliminate collection of waste water, reduce volume, reduce fire hazard, and to provide beneficial usage of waste tires in baled form. The tire bale also creates a retrievable product, if mono- filled, for future uses. We have trade marked the name “Enviro-Block” for our unique tire bale. Review our special baler web-site to learn about the “Enviro-Block” System. The bale contains 100 waste tires compressed to the size of 2 1/2’ x 4 1/2’ x 5’. The baler is capable of baling 4 bales per hour or 32 bales in an 8 hr. shift. This would equate to 3200 waste tires in a day. The bales can consist of 70% car and 30% truck tires. Portable units are diesel and electric. The ETB90 baler can be used for many other recyclables.

Baler 2The Eagle Truck tire baler was designed with a larger compression chamber to bale whole truck tires, reduce volume, reduce fire hazard, and to provide added benefits of transporting truck tires to processing stations. The Eagle Portable Whole Truck Tire Baler offers several important features that are of significant value to the safety and efficient operation of the machine. Due to the efficiency of the Tire Baler´s hydraulic system we are able to utilize less horsepower to generate the required system pressure; this in turn saves you money.

Baler 3The Eagle Portable Tire Hopper works in conjunction with the Eagle Tire Baler to provide the operator with a continual supply of tires, delivered at the proper height and rate. This dramatically reduces operator fatigue and increases daily production. Tests have shown that bale production can be increased 33%. This increase was achieved with one less man than was needed without the hopper. It doesn’t take long to pay for this optional equipment.

The VAZ 800 shredder is the medium-duty machine in the small series and comes with integrated extraction feature as standard for carpenter’s workshops and joineries; an XL machine with a larger rotor diameter is also available. In addition to its traditional role in the wood processing industry, this machine is also ideal for shredding loose lightweight materials such as foil, packaging, paper and plastic using different rotor types and geometries.
Depending on the version, the VAZ 800 comes with a drive capacity of 11 or 22 kW. The output can be between 100 and 1,000 kg/h, depending on the version and screen mesh size.

The VAZ 1100 shredder is the most powerful machine in the small series and is available as a standard machine or XL version with larger rotor diameter. In addition to its traditional role in the wood processing industry, the machine efficiently and cost-effectively shreds solid and sheet plastics, packaging and paper, thanks to the different rotor versions and geometries. Depending on the version, the VAZ 1100 comes with a drive capacity of between 18.5 and 37 kW. The output can be between 300 and 1,800 kg/h, according to version and screen mesh size.

The medium-duty series of single-shaft shredders starts with the VAZ 1300. The standard version is available in the sizes S and M. Different rotor designs and geometries mean the VAZ 1300 is capable of shredding wood waste, paper, data storage media, solid plastics, plastic film, industrial waste, packaging and much more. In order to increase the throughput when shredding bulky and very light materials, the machine can also be fitted with an optional bridge-breaker. In addition to the standard drive via asynchronous motor, the patented HiTorc drive is also available, which permits variable speed adjustment and reduces power consumption up to 60% compared to the standard drive system. The drive capacities range from 37 to 90 kW with the standard drive. Machines provided with the HiTorc drive have a drive capacity of 62 kW. The output can vary between 400 and 2,500 kg/h, depending on the version and screen mesh size.

The VAZ 1600 from the medium-duty single-shaft shredder series is available in the sizes S and M. Different rotor designs and geometries mean the VAZ 1600 is capable of shredding wood waste, paper, data storage media, solid plastics, plastic film, industrial waste, packaging and much more. In order to increase the throughput when shredding bulky and very light materials, the machine can also be fitted with an optional bridge-breaker. The heavy- duty series of the single- shaft shredders starts with the VAZ 2000. This machine is used to shred all kinds of solid materials, such as wood, paper, plastics, industrial or municipal solid waste. It requires very little maintenance or servicing. The solid steel rotor has a diameter of 640 mm and, if required, various rotor systems and geometries are available, thus ensuring optimal shredding performance in every application.
The machine can be equipped with the “flipper”, a pneumatically pre-tensioned counter knife that prevents damage if tramp materials are fed in. This also makes it easy to remove tramp material without having to unload the hopper. Additionally it can also be provided with a bridge-breaker for increasing throughput while shredding bulky and light materials.
In addition to the standard drive via asynchronous motor, the patented HiTorc drive is also available, which permits variable speed adjustment and reduces power consumption by up to 60% compared to the standard drive system.
The machines features drive capacities ranging between 132 and 250 kW and rated torques of up to 20,000 Nm. The screen mesh sizes are normally between 20 and 150 mm. Depending on the mesh size, throughputs of between 5.000 and 20.000 kgs/hr can be achieved.

Pre-Shredder VVZ

VVZ Hurricane (210, 250, 310)

The VVZ (210, 300) double-shaft shredder is a pre-shredder for processing difficult waste and material containing tramp material, such as pallets, boxes, cable drums, demolition wood, items of furniture, chipboard, and municipal solid as well as commercial waste. The two solid steel rotors with a diameter of 500 mm maximise the throughput. The machine is equipped with the “Flipper”, a pneumatically pre-tensioned counter knife that prevents damage if tramp materials are fed in. This also makes it easy to remove tramp material without having to unload the hopper. The degree of reduction can be set via adjustable screen bars. Depending on the input material, throughputs of between 6 and 25 to/h can be achieved.

The VVZ Hurricane (210, 250, 310) double-shaft shredder is a pre-shredder for difficult waste and material containing foreign objects, such as domestic and commercial refuse, production waste or old wood. The large filling chamber accepts large bales and bulky materials. Two solid steel rotors with a diameter of 720 mm and high mass moment of inertia ensure smooth, quiet running with high throughput. The interaction of the two rotors with the shared counter knife and screen grid produces a homogeneous particle size with excellent separability. The machine requires minimal maintenance and servicing, also because wearing parts are easy to replace. Two large hydraulic access doors make wearing parts easier to replace and allow foreign objects to be removed, even when the feed hopper is completely full. The degree of reduction can be set via adjustable grid bars. Depending on the feedstock, throughputs of between 10 and 100 to/h can be achieved. In addition to the standard hydraulic drive, the patented HiTorc drive is also available, which reduces power consumption by up to 60%. The drive capacities range between 2 x 132 kW and 2 x 200 kW and rated torques of up to 60,000 Nm.

Double-Shaft Re-Shredder VNZ

The VNZ double-shaft re-shredder was developed for re-shredding pre-shredded used timber, pre-shredded municipal solid waste, sorting waste, and much more in order to produce separable material for recycling and reutilisation.
Different rotor systems and geometries are available to optimise the shredding capacity with different material. The two solid steel rotors with a diameter of 500 respectively 640 mm maximise the shredding efficiency. The machine is equipped with the “Flipper”, a pneumatically pre-tensioned counter knife that prevents damage if tramp materials are fed in. This also makes it easy to remove tramp material without having to unload the hopper. The VNZ XL also features two large hydraulic access doors that make wear parts easier to replace and allow tramp materials to be removed, even when the hopper is completely full. The drive capacities range from 2 x 75 kW to 2 x 200 kW. The screen mesh sizes are normally between 20 and 150 mm. Depending on the size of the machine and the mesh size, throughputs of between 5 and 40 to/h can be achieved. . In addition to the standard drive, the VNZ XL is also available with the patented HiTorc drive, which reduces power consumption by up to 60% compared to the standard drive system.

V-EBS Shredder

The Vecoplan shredder for residue derived fuel (RDF) V-EBS 2500 was specially developed for re-shredding light plastics obtained from industrial, commercial and municipal solid waste and requires very little maintenance or servicing. The final particle size is impressively homogeneous. The machine is equipped with the patented HiTorc drive, which permits variable speed adjustment. Particularly notable are the large rotor diameter of 1,000 mm and the extremely high mass moment of inertia of 1,270 kg m². These features allow lots of torque even when processing tough material, They also grant smooth and quiet operation. It is also very economical to operate thanks to a comparatively low power consumption and low wear costs. The screen mesh sizes are normally between 25 and 50 mm. Depending on the mesh size, throughputs of between 10 and 22 to/h can be achieved.
The new Vecoplan – shredder for residue derived fuel (V – EBS) is a powerful re-shredder for the production of residue derived fuel (RDF). The V – EBS produces a homogeneous granulate for use in cement and power plants, for example, and offers the advantages of high throughput, low energy consumption and low wear costs.

No Tyre Is Too Big For An SSI Shredder…

SSI offers a wide variety of solutions for people who want to process tyres for cars, trucks, aircraft, agricultural and OTR/Mining tyres. Our focus has been to develop reliable, robust and easy-to-work-on equipment that will reduce whole tyres down to chunks ranging in size from long “strips” to 1″ or 2″ (25-50mm) chips. We have systems that can process tyres at rates ranging from 2 tons (200 car tires) to over 30 tons (3,000 car tires) per hour. Tyres do not need to be debeaded in order to be shredded in our equipment.

Size / Volume Reduction

Shredding of metals for volume reduction can simplify material handling, minimize storage space and reduce transportation and disposal costs. SSI has built shredders to process light scrap in a metal recycling yard, or materials generated by a manufacturer, such as aluminum extrusion from a door or window manufacturer. SSI shredders have also been used to prepare metals to feed into high-speed hammermills.

Metals destined for recycling are often baled or briquetted to facilitate handling and reduce transportation costs. However, once material arrives at the processing facility, processors often wish to shred bales or briquettes to improve furnace feeding and the efficiency of the remelting or delacquering process. Shredding also helps to liberate trapped contamination, upgrading the quality of the metal and its value.

Electronic scrap including computer drives, monitors, telephone-switching gear, and circuit boards contain precious metals such as gold, silver and platinum. Recovery facilities have used SSI low-speed shredders to preprocess bulky components to make it easier to liberate metals.
